4/24/08 (Thursday): Just a quick post (no pictures this time) to let everyone know we arrived in Boone, NC, safely yesterday afternoon. We're in love with the campground and the area and the people already. It's so beautiful here! We took a hike with the owner, a worker, a neighbor and an RV repairman who happened to hear we were hiking. We went up the hill behind the campground and along a ridge of mountains to a single grave under a huge tree with a magnificent view. When I download the pictures from my camera, I'll blog in more detail.
Today we're in the town of Boone running errands and doing laundry. The WiFi in our campground isn't turned on yet (we don't open until May 1), so I'm at the library now. I'll post again soon.

- We took early retirement from careers as Executive Assistant (Joyce) and Lawn Care company owner (Wiley). We have been full-time RV'rs since March, 2006. We've taken our RV to Maine, Michigan, California, North Carolina and everything in between. We live in Florida in the winters and travel in the summers. It's a tough life, but someone has to live it!

Can't wait to see the pictures
Me either! Now we'll see more green again. I must say though on the blog where we didn't comment, you had some beautiful shots.
Glad you made it safe and sound. I'm sure you'll enjoy having some time to relax after so long on the road.
We took a walk this morning and got some great shots. The campground just got the WiFi up and running, so I'll probably post a blog tonight or tomorrow. The wildflowers are just starting up here.
We worked for 4 hours today. The campground opens May 1, so we're cleaning and mowing and getting all ready for the first campers.
