1/17/07 (Wednesday): Not much time for a big post today, but I just had to share this picture (taken with my new digital photo binoculars--thanks Darcie and Chris) of my newly hatched eaglets! This is the first time I've seen two on the nest. There was only one last week.

I'll post more soon. We've got lots of news. We're in the market for a newer RV. We're probably going to sell the house soon. More on all that later. Stay tuned!

I went back on a second time and the eaglets now showed up. The shot is fantastic!

Thanks--it was quite a thrill to see them on the edge of the nest like that! I think they're about 3 weeks old. They'll gain about 1 pound every 4-5 days!

Hurry up, Joyce, get over there (wherever that is) and take a picture of those red-chested birds for the rest of us to see!!!

Do you know what a robin looks like? They are in FL in the winter and they travel in huge flocks. They have dark backs and red breasts and you often see them in lawns and suburban areas. If it looks more like a cardinal, my guess would be a purple finch. I'll post pictures of each on the blog.

We took early retirement from careers as Executive Assistant (Joyce) and Lawn Care company owner (Wiley). We have been full-time RV'rs since March, 2006. We've taken our RV to Maine, Michigan, California, North Carolina and everything in between. We live in Florida in the winters and travel in the summers. It's a tough life, but someone has to live it!
