Sunday 5/7/06: We’re still in the Upper Marlboro, MD, area at Duncan Family Campground. This morning we ran some errands, then drove out 301 to my Uncle Dean’s house. We visited with him and my cousin Kenny and his fiancée Susan for a while, then went to a park where there was a surprise birthday party for my Aunt Dottie. She turned 80—she looks great!

It was fun to see my cousins, Donna, Diane and Dottie (nicknamed Duke) and their families. Coincidentally, my cousin Donna and her husband Dave just started full timing in their motor home, and were planning a trip to Maine this summer! Needless to say, they’re going to visit us for a few days while they’re up there.

We’re really enjoying the new flexibility in our lives. Each evening, we sit down and decide where we’re going and what we’re doing the next day. But we feel easy about changing our minds if something (like a chance to see relatives) appeals to us more. We’re planning to leave for PA tomorrow, but the weather forecast doesn’t look so good, so we may change our minds and stay another day. I don’t want to drive the 5th wheel in rain and wind.

We took early retirement from careers as Executive Assistant (Joyce) and Lawn Care company owner (Wiley). We have been full-time RV'rs since March, 2006. We've taken our RV to Maine, Michigan, California, North Carolina and everything in between. We live in Florida in the winters and travel in the summers. It's a tough life, but someone has to live it!
