9-9-06 (Saturday): No time right now to do a whole blog about our adventures last Wednesday through Friday (got to go to work), but I've downloaded the pictures and will work on it this evening. I did want to let everyone know that we got the Workamper position at Tiger Creek Preserve in Lake Wales, FL that we wanted! We'll start 10/20 and have committed at least through April 1. It's a fantastic opportunity for us. We'll be living in a 6000-acre wilderness area, maintaining trail and the environmental center and grounds (mostly Wiley's part of the job) and working in the office (my job). I'll also have to take a part-time job in town because this position is in exchange for the site only (pretty common for the winter jobs in the south).

More later. We came home to find that Monkey was pissed at our absence (literally!) and now we have some work to do to deodorize the camper.

Congratulations. I'm so happy for you. Our prayer has been answered. Just finished reading your Baxter area blogs. I want to go back and look at the pictures again. Will comment more later.

We took early retirement from careers as Executive Assistant (Joyce) and Lawn Care company owner (Wiley). We have been full-time RV'rs since March, 2006. We've taken our RV to Maine, Michigan, California, North Carolina and everything in between. We live in Florida in the winters and travel in the summers. It's a tough life, but someone has to live it!
